Fair Access Legal Representation Program

Our Fair Access Legal Rep Program (FALRP)connects immigrants in urgent need of legal assistance with compassionate and affordable  attorneys. We believe that everyone deserves access to justice, regardless of their financial situation. Through our program, we ensure that no immigrant faces legal challenges alone.

Complete the Interest Form

Visit our website or email legal@mercyshare.org to complete the Attorney Interest Form. This helps us understand your background, experience, areas of expertise, and availability.

Schedule a Brief Orientation Call

A member of the MercyShare team will reach out to schedule a short call. We'll walk you through how the program works, our mission, and the support you'll receive.

Sign the Attorney Partnership Agreement

  • Your commitment to offering fair, accessible rates
  • MercyShare’s role in supporting intake and documentation
  • Shared values, responsibilities, and communication expectations

Get Matched with Pre-Screened Clients

You’ll be matched with clients who:

  • Have been pre-screened for financial need and case eligibility
  • Are prepared and ready to move forward
  • May qualify for subsidy from MercyShare’s legal defense fund

Review and Accept Cases at Your Discretion

You’ll receive a case summary for each potential client, including the legal matter, form support completed, and documentation. You decide whether to accept the case—there’s no obligation.

Receive Ongoing Support

To reduce your administrative burden, our team (and soon, accredited representatives) will assist with:

  • Form preparation
  • Legal research
  • Client documentation
  • Language translation and communication
    This allows you to focus your time and expertise on legal strategy and defense.

Invoice MercyShare (if applicable)

For clients receiving assistance from our legal defense fund, you will submit an invoice. Reimbursement may be partial or full, depending on the agreed-upon fee. Payments are typically processed within 30 days.

Accessible Legal Representation for All

The Fair Access Legal Rep Program is dedicated to ensuring that immigrants facing legal challenges have access to competent and compassionate legal representation. By connecting individuals with pre-screened attorneys who offer fair rates, we strive to make justice accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.

In partnership with Mercy In Faith Ministries, we are expanding our support to include accredited representatives, further reducing barriers to justice. Our collaborative approach allows attorneys to focus on legal strategy while we handle the administrative tasks, ensuring that no immigrant stands alone in their pursuit of dignity and due process.
